How To Create a New WordPress Account
If you are thinking of creating an online blog. Then WordPress would be one out of 3 best options for you. WordPress is also a free blogging platform which allows their users to create and manage their weblogs. Before this post I had created a post for creating account with Blogger. And this post is the Second of this session of 3 posts. So, if you have selected WordPress for creating your blog. Then you must have an account with WordPress. In this Tutorial I assume that you are a newbie and I’ll be guiding you with Screen Shots and try to help you as much as I can. So, lets start by creating a New WordPress Account.
Note: In WordPress when we Signup for WordPress Account, it ask us for creating a new Blog (by default). But as this tutorial is just for helping you in Creating WordPress Account, we will just create an Account and not a blog here. You will get guide about creating WordPress Blog in next tutorial.
Create A New WordPress Account
1. Go to signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1
2. On that page, there will be a form requesting your information. Enter you Email Address in the first field. Then enter your Username. User name will be used in future for logging in to your WordPress Account, for managing your blogs. And at the enter enter a Password. Choose a strong password which you can remembers. After that Click the“Sign Up” button.
3. After clicking “Sign Up” button, an Activation Email will be sent to your Email Address. Check you email and openWordPress.com’s Email. Click on the Button “Activate Account” in that Email.
4. After Activation, you will be redirected to your new WordPress Dashboard. So you have got your new WordPress Account. Below is the Screen Shot of my WordPress Dashboard.
